How amazing is it that three of our very own Glasdir Skills Academy trainers won an award at this year’s F2N Business Network Awards!? We are super proud of all three of them, and really pleased to have such inspirational ladies working with us to deliver the best quality training in North Wales.

This year’s F2N Business Awards was held at the St George Hotel in Llandudno, where a huge variety of businesses and individuals were up for many different awards which included Business of the Year, New Business of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year and many more…

The thing that makes the F2N awards different to other business awards is that the winners are always selected by the host which in many ways makes the awards very unique. The awards this year was hosted by Chemmy Alcott, Britain’s greatest woman alpine skier!

Chemmy had a lot to share from her career during the awards, and she wasn’t afraid to tell everyone how hard it was to get to where she is now. She went on to say:

“I spent 20 years chasing my dream to ski in the Olympics. It took passion, perseverance and a lot of heart. Your dreams make you who you are and every day you push yourself to be a better version of yourself. When on the road to following my dreams I never lost, I only won or learnt.”

She was a real inspiration to the 140 guests that listened intently to what Chemmy had to say. She was an amazing host – funny, friendly and obviously extremely passionate about what she does.

And the winners were announced……!

Rachel Jones, our fabulous Food Safety trainer dazzled the stage, or was that she was dazed on stage, as she received the well-deserved ‘Networking Person of the Year’ Award. Totally unexpected, Rachel was really taken by surprise when she heard her name as they announced the winner. The smile on Rachel’s was a brilliant mix of absolute delight and surprise. Rachel takes real pride of her very successful training business, as well as her position as a F2N networking host. Rachel works very closely with small businesses and individuals when it comes to her training, and finds networking during her workshops the only opportunity some businesses get! You just never know who could be on the workshop with you, and what it could potentially lead to. Keep up the good work Rachel 🙂

Our Glasdir Skills Academy trainers sure do know how to turn networking into a successful business model. Not only did Rachel pick up a networking award but our very own NLP practitioner, sales and customer service trainer, Bridgette Handley picked up the ‘Network Marketing Person of the Year’ Award. You ladies really do rock networking! When she’s not delivering training, Bridgette is a leading ambassador for Tropic Skin Care. In a way it was no real surprise to see Bridgette’s name up on the screen when the winner was announced – Bridgette loves her Tropic and has a team all over the UK. We spoke briefly to Bridgette after the awards, and she was beaming with pride. Here’s what Bridgette had to say about the evening:

‘I was thrilled to be short listed as a finalist for the awards, and even more thrilled to win!! With a positive mindset and some hard work, almost anything is achievable!’

Last, but absolutely not least, our third and final Glasdir Skills Academy trainer, Marina Kogan picked up the Rachel Elnaugh Enterprise Award. WOW, what can we say!?  Marina delivers all types of mindset training and is an international business and executive coach. In fact she’s so good, along with a couple of colleagues she’s created a completely new coaching model – Salutogenic Coaching which was published in the International Journal of Evidence Based Coaching and Mentoring in 2014.  Going even further – Marina’s built a coaching training course – which was what clinched the award.

With outstanding achievement throughout her career, it was time to be recognised and truly deserved. Marina really enjoyed her evening at the awards, and felt that it was great having the Glasdir Skills Academy team at the Awards night with all the support, love and lots of moves on the dance floor.

We hope everyone enjoyed the awards, and we would like to congratulate not only our trainers, but also all those who took part at the awards, it was a fabulous evening had by all 🙂
